Kryptovaluutan arvo on noussut alkuvuodesta jopa 900 prosenttia. Yhdysvaltain markkinavalvoja CFTC kertoi hyväksyvänsä Bitcoin-sijoitustuotteiden valmistelun alkamisen kahdelle maailman suurimmalle johdannaispörssille, CME Groupille ja CBOE Global Marketsille.
CFTC antaa myös välittävälle Cantor Exchangelle luvan tuoda Bitcoin-johdannaisia alustalleen.
